Can Not and Newbie, Sure Paths to Failure!

By: R.M Coheni

Being in the right frame of mind is more important then all the information you have acquired. There is a leader in industry by the name of Henry Ford who had very little formal education, but what he did have was a mindset that created a desire in him that practically forced him to achieve his goals. One of his most quoted sayings is, "Whether you think you can or think you can't you are right."

Henry Ford's mindset created a completely new way for industry to create products and it could even be attributed to helping start the industrial revolution. Why? Simply because he had the desire to reach his goals and he wouldn't accept can't as an excuse.

If you are constantly using the word can't you are sure to find failure. You have to believe you can before you can. I like to define can't as:

C= Conveniently.

A= Accepting.

N= Negative.

T= Thoughts

Whenever you say you can't do something, you are conveniently accepting negative thoughts. There is always a way to achieve your goals.

If you don't know how to do something that doesn't mean you can't do it.

It doesn't mean it can't be done just because no one has done it before.

Just like you set your goals you need to create a mindset that gives you a burning desire to achieve your goals. All you goals can be achieved if you believe.

The most common excuse that I have heard used for Internet marketing purposes is, "I am a newbie!"

I know this doesn't sound like an excuse, but it is. Gary Ambrose pointed this out to me a couple of years ago. When you say you are newbie, you are using that as an excuse. The reason for this is that you never say I am a newbie unless you need an excuse.

Question: Do you have a website?

Answer: I don't have one I am a newbie.

Question: What field are you working in?

Answer: I don't have one I am a newbie.

Question: Have you started building your list yet?

Answer: No, I am a newbie.

Read those questions and read those answers and you will see why I say it is an excuse. If you are in the internet marketing field you have probably heard those questions and that answer before. The answer doesn't explain anything, it just works as an excuse for people that haven't done anything yet. Yes, I did refer to myself as a newbie, way back when, but I realize now that it was an excuse that slowed down my progress to my goals.

Taking action is the only difference between a newbie and a non-newbie. If you want to reach your goals you can't do it as a newbie so take some action no matter how small and move toward your goals.
