It is rare to find a construction site or contractor without an air nailer in their arsenal of tools. Having an air nailer for large and small projects can create fantastic results and there are various models available for any project that you may take on. When choosing an air nailer it is important to consider its function for your particular task. You want to choose the right nailer for the job. There are models designed to take on large projects such as building a deck or installing hardwood floors. You can also choose models to take on smaller jobs like installing roof shingles or building a bird house. The types of air nailers available include the most common models: Framing nailers - these nailers are used most often in large construction sites and are used for building homes, decks, etc. Finish nailers - you may choose a finish nailer when dealing with furniture or interior trim. Brad nailers - these are great for small hobby woodworking projects such as bird houses or doll houses. Palm nailers - you may need a palm nailer for those hard to reach places that you cannot reach with a hammer. Larger jobs such as installing floors or roofing require specialty nailers and fall on the expensive side. Unless you are a contractor, you probably would never need these types of nailers for home use. One thing to keep in mind is that most air nailers also require air compressors to work. Once hooked up properly, your air nailer will also be connected to a hose and working with them can often seem like a hassle with their necessary equipment attached. There are cordless nailers available but they do not get the job done as efficiently as they are not as powerful. If you are looking to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible, the air compressor models are probably your best choice. Once you get the hang of using them, the extra attached equipment will no longer be an issue.
