Original Marketing Ideas For Your Tanning Salon

Think of some original marketing ploys to encourage customers to tan at your business. There is already a market for this type of service so you just need to reach out there and grab it. Make sure customers know exactly what you have to offer so they can decide it is the right facility for them. Simply advertising your business isn't enough due to the amount of competition that is out there.

Think about the various ways in which you offer services that exceed customer's expectations. Do you have a policy where they won't have to wait for a tanning area for their appointment? Do you offer services such as pedicures and facials in addition to tanning? Make sure all of your customers are aware of all the great things you have to offer them.

Instead you want to take an approach that tells them all you offer. Tell them you have 5 tanning beds and five tanning booths. Tell them that you have to sunless tanning rooms for them to use. Explain the various products that you sell to help them enhance their tanning experience. All of these things are going to give them a very realistic idea of what your tanning salon can offer them.

No matter how great the things you offer at your tanning salon are, you need to offer convenience. People need to be able to get an appointment for the services they want that fits into their own schedule. Keep this in mind when you are setting up your hours of business. It is acceptable to extend them in the spring and summer and then go back to a standard day.

You will definitely find that there are customers who enjoy tanning before they go in to work each morning. Some of them many work all night so they stop in to tan before they go home to sleep. Others want to be able to come in on their lunch hour or right after work. It is a great way to transition from work mode to family mode. Market these hours so that they will know you are looking out for their needs.

Always make sure you offer sincere personal service for everyone who comes to your tanning salon. In any business it is easier to hold onto those customers you have than to continually search for new ones. Take a couple of extra steps to encourage those you have services before to come back into the salon. They may be thinking of tanning and getting a note from you may be all that it takes.

Thank them for being a customer, and let them know you would love to see them come in for the upcoming tanning season. You can go as far as to offer them a great discount too for mentioning the information they received from you. They will love the personalized message and you will have a very simple way to track how well this type of advertising is working for you.

If you take the time to come up with some creative ways to market your tanning salon that will set it apart from the rest, you will make more profits. Don't assume that just because there is a demand for tanning services that people are going to choose yours. It is the details that get customers to choose one facility over the next.
