01/05: Launch of our New System Saturday May 3, 2008
If you are a previous member of ArticleNorth.com since before, you just ***sign up again at our new and additional web site with your old username and password, OR a new one if you prefer***. Click the Signup button, or the Become an Author button in the menu at our new site and sign up from there.Why do you have to sign up again? The reasons for this are as follows: In our transfer to the new system, we had to chose between transferring all of your former member information, including your username and password, to our new web site - OR to leave your information intact in the old directory and let you sign up once more at the new web site.
We chose 'the-sign-up-again' option, since it could be more fun for our members to have access to their older membership pages with your earlier articles at the older directory whenever they want to.
If we had chosen to transfer your older membership information to the new web site - your existing membership pages at ArticleNorth article directory, including all of your information and articles up till now, would have been lost in the transfer. This means that your older member stats and web page would have disappeared with the transfer. This is reason number one for letting you sign up again to the new site. However, you will still be able to access your older member pages at ArticleNorth's article directory as before at anytime.
Reason number two is that if we had transferred everything to the new web site, with our 67,000+ articles in our older directory, including yours - the articles would lose their positions in the search engines as of now, with the transfer. That is also the main reason why we chose not to transfer your information and earlier articles to the new and added directory.
Due to our new system it's therefore no longer possible to submit articles to the older directory after the launch of our new system. From then on we will only accept article submissions to the new part of our article directory system with our brand new credit point system. For information on the credit point system, click the link in the menu at the new web site that says "Credit Points". For credit point prices, you just login to your membership pages for more information (When you are in your member area, mouse over the Login button in the menu and click the link "Buy Credits" in the dropdown menu, which will take you to that page). You will find more information on our article directory system under "Recent Blogs" at the new web site and "About Us" at ArticleNorth.com as well.
The earlier ’submit-articles’- form on your older member page will therefore no longer be available in your member area at our older directory. From the launch on, you can only submit articles + features from your new membership web page at the new web site.
However, you can still log in to the older system with your earlier username and password to your older membership pages, to view your earlier articles and stats, and use that part of the website as usual, as mentioned above.
You will still have reprint rights to all of our articles as before and you can still read all of the articles at our older directory that was posted before the change to the new system. For reprint rights learn more here
It is so forth only your new submissions of articles - and now also blog posts, news, pod casts, files and pictures, that has changed to the new web site.
The new membership is free as usual. To become a new member, just click the Become an Author button or the Sign Up button in the menu at the new site, or near the top of the web page. When you have signed up, you must confirm your membership via email before you will be able to login. The email will be sent to you immediately after you have signed up. Once you have confirmed your membership, just click on the Account Login button, or the Login button in the menu at the new web site.
It is also absolutely free for a member to submit News to our new web site. Your news will also be reviewed by an professional editor and approved or declined. Our submission guidelines applies for news as for articles and blog posts.
However, a piece of news is not an article. Nor is it a disguised way to advertise a product - and we can not stress that enough. All attempts of spamming our site with phoney items addressed as news will be deleted. A news item, like an article, is a valuable and sincere piece of information about a certain subject within any of our 632 categories or fields.
To submit news is therefore not just another way of promoting a product or a company. It is neither a masked way of writing about a new product or company as if it was news. Nevertheless, you can write news about a certain product or company if it has true news value, which doesn't mean an announcement of a new product or company. The editor in charge has the sole right of the approval or declination of your news, articles and blog posts. To learn more about our submission guidelines read here
To submit 'News', which is a brand new feature, you just mouse over the login button in the menu at the new site, then click the "Create Some News" link in the drop down menu. You will then be redirected to another web page where you login once more with your usual username and password. Once you have logged in click the 'create news' link and you go from there.
Even if you choose to Not become an author at ArticleNorth, there are still lots of benefits and features for you to take part of for free. You will still be able to participate in our community by reading articles, blog posts and news.
You can email your preferred articles to a friend. You can print out articles right from the site. You can also give spam free comments and ratings of our articles as a non-member and non-author. And you can syndicate your favorite articles or categories and also spread the word about them by adding them to your favorite Reader. But this is not all!
As a non-member or non-writer you can also mark your favorite articles to a special folder or box right at our site AND also mark the articles you want to read later to a special box or folder.
Your folders or boxes are saved for you by our system and displayed right on Your Own Homepage for you only, whenever you want, so that you can come back later to read them any time you will return to the web site, without having to log in as a member or writer!

Our new Credit Point system is to be LAUNCHED in the week to follow. I want to thank you again for your continuous support and patience! Our new credit point system has taken us 5 five months to build, due to many unforseen events. Submit content. Content is truly king for increasing your traffic effectively using search engines. It is a breeze for you to register and submit content in seconds.You will be able to create Articles, Blog posts and News with our new complete content management system, that is extremely flexible. Publish articles, write your own blog or an online newspaper, a school scrapbook - how you use ArticleNorth is only limited by your own creativity and imagination. We also ping all of your blog posts to Technorati.com, Feedburner.com and syndic8.com regularly. Each of your articles and blog posts are reviewed and edited manually by a professional editor who is a real live person.
Contributors can now submit multi-page articles. You can now submit multi-page full length articles:
Unlimited article pages. You will be able to break articles into multiple pages, which not only makes it easier for online reading. It's a well known search engine optimization fact that the more pages your content has, the better its ranking in the search engines.
Mark your article as a draft version so that it will not be considered for approval yet. If you want to work with your article later, just check this box on your submision page and the editor will not edit, approve or decline your article until you are done.
Upload a podcast with your articles and blog posts. You will now be able to upload a podcast to your articles and your blog posts. This is valuable if you want to give your readers extra value about your information. It can be an inteview that you have made with a mentor, coach or writer. Search Engine Friendly Features
ArticleNorth's new system has been designed with search engine optimization in mind. Specific features are added so that the popular search engines (including Google and Yahoo) can find and index your content with ease.
Static URL's. Many other article management systems rely on complex, long query strings in their URL's that can look something like: http://www.yourdomain.com/articles.php?category=21&articleid=12&page=2. Our system uses static URL's that look like this: http://www.myarticlesite.com/articles/3/2/Writing-for-the-Web. This makes it infinitly easier to read for both search engines and humans alike, and will increase your search engine rankings dramatically.

Dear members and visitors!In Novmber last year we announced that we are implementing a new system for our members at Articlenorth directory. We had plans to launch it in December of 2007, but due to unforseen and unfortunate incidents that we have been exposed to, we were not able to launch it at the time that we had planned. However, things are looking up and moving along and we will soon be able to launch our additional article directory website as promised, including our new system.

Product Description:1 credit point means publishing and distribution of one article (one page or multi pages) or blog post by ArticleNorth directory to our directoy and entire network of search engines, forums, ezine publishers, blog publishers and feeds. This includes pod casts, files, photos and pictures with each of your articles. We also ping all of your blog posts to Technorati.com, Feedburner.com and syndic8.com regularly. Each of your articles and blog posts are reviewed and edited manually by a professional editor who is a real live person.
Your articles and blogs will be declined or approved. If your articles or blog posts are declined, your credit points are held in your account and you are not charged for the submission. If you decide to resubmit the same article or blog post again and it is approved, your account will be charged for one credit. If you chose Not to resubmit the declined article or blog post, nothing happens and you will not be charged.
You will always be able to check how many credit points you have left in your account. This process will be fully integrated in our new system and the amount of credits you have left in your account will be displayed in your member area on the submit article web page or your submit blog web page.
1 credit point also means that you can upload a piece of music for your readers to listen to, or a recorded interview that you have made, or a seminar or tele class that you have attended, with your articles and blog posts. The choice is yours and the possibilities are endless. We want to give your readers as much information with your articles and blog posts as possible - and now you will have the possibility to do so as well.
Perhaps you want to attach a separate extensive file for your readers to download and look into besides your article? Therefore you will need that extra space - we are providing that for you too. You will be able to upload files in different formats as attachments to your articles. This can add a lot of additional value to your items. It can for example be a product catalog, a company presentation or your latest poems in an ebook - you choose.
